ABOUT ARTANIM
The Artanim Foundation is a Geneva research centre established in 2011 by three motion capture experts: Caecilia Charbonnier, Clémentine Lo and Sylvain Chagué. Artanim conducts research projects in orthopaedics, sports medicine, 3D animation and virtual and augmented reality. Artanim’s ‘Real Virtuality’ VR technology required four years of research. It was selected among three finalists for the ‘Immersive Realities (AR/VR)’ competition at the 2015 SIGGRAPH Conference in Los Angeles, which rewards the best virtual or augmented reality experiences based on present-day technology, and received the 2016 Laval Virtual Award. This technology was presented at the 2015 Geneva International Film Festival, Swissnex San Francisco in 2015, the 2016 Sundance New Frontier Festival, at Lift 2016 and the Cannes Film Festival in 2016.
